Russia has hit a city in the south of Ukraine killing one person and injuring 15 people including a child.
It has been reported that an Iskander-M ballistic missile struck Mykolaiv city at around 7:20am on Saturday,November 1.
Local authorities said a child was among the people injured. A petrol station and a cafe was also damaged during the strike.
In a statement, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitalii Kim said: ‘At this time,15 people are known to have been injured (of varying degrees of severity). Among the wounded is a child, whose condition doctors describe as moderate.
‘A gas station and several vehicles were damaged.
‘Medical personnel and volunteers from the Rapid Response Unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross provided urgent assistance to those injured.’
Footage shared by Vitalii revealed extensive damage to a petrol station, which he referred to as ‘an ordinary Saturday morning station’,United 24 Media reported.
The emergency services in Mykolaiv Oblast posted on social media that they washed away spilled fuel from the petrol station to prevent fires, using water and air-mechanical foam.

Iskander-M ballistic missiles are a precise and destructive weapon with a range of 500km. They are very hard to intercept as they follow a standard path and then dive quickly.
It comes after Russia launched another deadly artillery strike on October 31 on Kherson,a city in southern Ukraine, killing two people and injuring eight others, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said.
The Pentagon has just agreed that the US can supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles, which have a range of 1,609km,as it will not reduce stockpiles.

President Donald Trump had previously agreed to give Ukraine the missiles but then u turned.
He told the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last month that he could not provide the missiles because his country needed them and it could damage relations with Russia,CNN reported.
US defence officials said they are still working through how Ukraine would train with and deploy the missiles.
Frustrated with the lack of peace talks with Russia,Trump approved new sanctions on Russian oil companies and postponed a planned meeting with Putin in Budapest regarding Ukraine.
