
A British man was pulled unconscious from the sea in Praia do Pintadinho on the Portuguese Algarve
The body of a British man has been pulled from the water near a holiday resort in southern Portugal.
The man,who has not been publicly named,was found unconscious in the water near Praia do Pintadinho,a beach near Portimão in the Algarve.
Two lifeguards attempted to perform CPR on the 58-year-old before emergency services arrived on the scene.
In a statement,Portugal’s National Maritime Authority said its psychology office was in contact with the victim’s family to provide support.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Another man,of Irish nationality,was declared dead after drowning in the water nearby off the Prainha beach in Alvor.
