Two tourists have been stabbed near Greece’s ancient Acropolis.

A man and a woman, both Greek Americans, were attacked with a knife near the entrance of the Acropolis Museum in Athens,on Tuesday morning.

The building lies at the foot of Acropolis hill, which is where the nearly 2,500-year-old Parthenon temple is located.

The man suffered serious wounds to his arm while the woman suffered light injuries to her leg.

Police arrested the attacker at the scene. It’s understood he was suffering from psychological problems.
