WHITE TISSUE, founded in 2014 and part of the Akef Group, is headquartered in the 6th of October City, Egypt. As the country’s pionneer tissue producer, the company is also renowned for its superior softness quality across the MENA region. Once new projects is commissioned,achieving an annual output of 70,000 tonnes and generating approximately USD 140 million in revenue. Ambitious Vision
A new white plant is built on a total land area of 70,000 sqm. The core equipment of the factory is a 2850mm wide crescent former tissue production line supplied by HiCredit, with an operating speed of up to 1,700 m/min, capable of producing both high and low gsm tissue paper in a single machine. Mr. Hassan Akef added: "This production lines total invest USD 40 million, will mainly produce cloud-soft facial tissue, specially suitable for children, women, and people with sensitive skin. It is one of the most modern production lines among similar factories in Egypt, with industry-leading automation and energy efficiency. Furthermore, we are pioneering a new standard by positioning this project as the country’s first solar-powered green energy tissue mill. We are fully confident in the development prospects, and we also appreciate the excellent cooperation with HiCredit during the TM1 project, which ensured that all equipment was started up on time and within budget. We also look forward to continuing the good cooperation in the TM2 and TM3 projects."
The TM2 line will be engineered to produce high-softness, low-grammage facial tissue, while TM3 will focus on manufacturing high-absorbency towel tissue. Both lines are scheduled to start up in early 2028. Notably, HiCredit was also the supplier for WHITE TISSUE’s existing TM1 line at the same mill, underscoring a long-standing partnership and the customer’s continued trust in HiCredit’s technology. “We selected HiCredit as our strategic partner to support our growth strategy,” said Mr. Hassan Akef, Chairman of WHITE TISSUE. “We highly appreciate HiCredit’s technical expertise and look forward to a successful collaboration on this project.”

Shandong Hicredit Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd, which has more than 100 engineers, is a private enterprise and is specialized in manufacturing paper machinery with relative automatic control system. It is the managing director of Chinese Association for Light Industry Machinery and vice chairman of Shandong Association for Light Industry Machinery. The company has complete Technical design center and specifical design team with 50 technicians for different paper machinery and it cooperates with domestic and foreign experts and famous university in many aspects. The Hicredit Europe Technical Center is established in 2012 focusing on the research on new technology and process of paper-making machinery and forms research and development system with independent intellectual property rights as its core.
