Senegal and IMF agree new $2.2 billion loan programme

Senegal has reached an agreement with the International Monetary Fund on a new $2.2 billion debt programme, the financial institution said on Tuesday. An earlier agreement was suspended in 2024 after the discovery of underreported debt.
